CREATIVE IMPACT: Showcase of Student Design Work
Pittsburgh Technical College announces the opening of a new exhibition titled CREATIVE IMPACT: Showcase of Student Design Work. The show features student projects in Video Production, Web Development, Computer Aided Drafting and Graphic Design from the School of Design at PTC. The exhibition opens October 1 and runs through January 30, 2017, in the PTC Showcase located on the lower level of The Mall at Robinson. Visitors can enjoy an overview of the project-based learning experiences involved in studying for careers in design, video, drafting and web. Projects include sample designs, product packaging, responsive websites, video commercials, photography and mechanical CAD illustrations "This exhibit is a great opportunity to recognize outstanding student work. Students appreciate the opportunity to share their work in a public forum as they prepare to embark on their careers," says Laurie Tudor, PTC's Art Director and curator of PTC Showcase. The School of Design offers associate degree programs in Graphic Design, Architectural Drafting, Mechanical Drafting, Video Production and Web Design/Development. Students are prepared for entry-level positions across many industries including advertising, design, broadcasting, entertainment, engineering, retail, healthcare, education, construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, transportation, communications, and architecture.
