Advent Cookie Walk/Rummage Sale
The Christmas holiday preparations start at Beulah Presbyterian Church, 2500 McCrady Road, Churchill, with a Cookie Walk from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 3 and 12:15 to 1 p.m. Dec. 4. Thousands of bakery and home-baked cookies will be available, sold by container size. Buy and then fill up a container: small, $5; medium, $15; and large, $25. Proceeds benefit the Youth Summer Mission Trip. The Christmas Rummage Sale will also be held at the same time as the Cookie Walk in the fellowship hall, with holiday treasures to enhance home decor. Other special activities that weekend: --On Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon, the Christmas gift and craft making workshop will be held in room 209. Order forms for craft items people wish to make that day are available at the church; all supplies will then be available that morning. Children can make handmade gifts for family, teachers and friends. For more information, call 412-242-4570. --Beulah's Advent Walk walk-through devotional returns this year as well on Thursday through Saturday. Hours are noon to 8 p.m. Dec. 1, 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 3. Stations will be set up in the sanctuary, with devotional moments reflecting the music that will be featured at Beulah's annual Lessons and Carols service at 11 a.m. Dec. 4. There will be no 8:30 a.m. service that morning.
